Oklahoma's entrepreneurial attitude is its calling card, attracting venture capitalists from around the country. But Oklahoma's venture industry didn't happen overnight.

Since 1993, the Oklahoma Capital Investment Board has worked to launch Oklahomans as venture capitalists and draw outside venture firms to the state.

OCIB has supported 19 venture capital funds, attracting over $130 million in Oklahoma investments and generating in excess of $1.3 billion in economic activity for Oklahoma.
