TECHNOLOGY VENTURES SUMMIT TO SHOWCASE
PROMISING TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES IN OKLAHOMA

Tulsa – A dozen Oklahoma startups will soon be in the spotlight. The Oklahoma Capital Investment Board (OCIB) recently announced the twelve emerging companies that will be the featured presenters on the second day of the Technology Ventures Summit. The Summit, co-hosted by OCIB and Oklahoma Equity Partners, LLC (OEP), is scheduled to run from February 20 - 21 at the Downtown Doubletree in Tulsa. Each company will present a financing proposal to venture capitalists and angel investors looking for new ideas and technologies in various industries.

(See list deals to be presented on separate page)
“The 12 winning businesses were chosen from a field of 28 competitive entries,” said Dave Humphrey, President of OEP. “Each company underwent a vigorous screening process led by a committee of local and state leaders operating in Oklahoma’s venture capital market. We anticipate great interest from potential investors for each of the chosen deals.”

Humphrey says the emerging business ideas were chosen from a diverse industry pool including biotechnology, energy management, alternative fuels, transportation, and film and entertainment among others. Each business will be assigned two mentors to assist them with their presentations. Speakers will be given 10 minutes to present their ideas to the potential investors.

“The aim of the Summit is multi-functional,” said Humphrey. “We intend to showcase to investors Oklahoma’s latest technological advances which are awaiting commercialization. The Summit will also provide assistance and practical information to those local business entrepreneurs looking for capital funding from investors.”
Conference registration is available online at www.ocib.org/tvs.
